In the year 2005, Tesi Bon was founded by Gerard Chin-A-Kwie. He had been specializing in U.S.A. foodstuffs since 1995 and was among the first companies to supply supermarkets, delicatessens, night shops, Tokos, and wholesalers in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, and Spain. Gerard, originally from Surinam, moved to Holland in 1975. Witnessing the growing population of people from Surinam, Curacao, Aruba, and South America in Holland due to the importation of foodstuffs from the U.S.A.
There weren’t many products to buy in the stores, so he launched a unique product with cheese snacks and named it Tesi Bon (Taste Good) (smaakt goed). With that, he started exporting to several countries, including Surinam, Trinidad, Curacao, Aruba, Vietnam, China, Lebanon, etc. He promoted the products by attending food shows with a booth in various locations, including Dubai, Germany, France, New York, Hong Kong, and Buyers Missions.
From the moment of launching Tesi Bon Cheese Curlz, Cheese Balls, Pizza Balls in canister the success was born in several countries! Now, almost 20 years later, his son, Gregory Chin A Kwie, has taken over the company. He gave the brand a new design and improved the flavors to comply with EU regulations. And changed it to a ready-to-eat snack in a bag with two flavors: Crunchy Cheese Curlz and Hot Spiced Curlz.
